The GlassBiller notification system is designed to give you instant alerts when certain events happen within your business, from receiving new customer payments to having a job marked canceled.
To access the user notification settings first click the bell icon in the top right corner, then click the gear wheel icon to open the notification settings
You can choose a few different ways in which GlassBiller will notify you of new alerts. One option is web alerts. Web alerts will notify you immediately when logged in and using GlassBiller, either as a bell notification or as a pop-up. Keep in mind, you will not see these notifications when not currently using the software, but the notifications will display on the next log in. If you elect to turn on "web" alerts you may also click on the blue bell icon and you will hear a 'ding' when you get a new notification.
If you would like, you can also choose to have GlassBiller send notifications via email or text (SMS) This allows you to be alerted to happenings in your business even if you are not logged in.
With text and email notifications, it is best to set a default number and email address, that way you do not have to enter that information on each notification type. However, if you'd like to enter a second, third or more numbers and email address you can do so on each notification type by clicking on the "more" button.
You may want to restrict some notifications from being sent to some of your employees. You can do this in the same user permission section as other permissions. You can enable/disable notifications altogether, or simply turn on/off each notification type individually as you see fit. Users that are not "Managers" and therefore do not have access to adjust permissions can only adjust notification settings that you have given them access to.
We would like to point out the data export notification. Setting this notification will warn you anytime someone in your organization downloads a dataset from your data tab. The obvious implication is that you can control and monitor what data gets exported and stop a problem before it happens. The notification will tell you what user downloaded data, when they downloaded it, and give you a copy of the file that was downloaded. By default this notification is turned off for each user that is not a manager. Only give this permission to trusted users.
We have plans to add many more notification types. However, we are always interested in your ideas. Are there other notification types you'd like to see? Let us know!
