GlassBiller provides three distinct methods for adding a vehicle profile to any job. The first option is to search a vehicle using the VIN. Enter the full seventeen character VIN, then select 'decode'. The vehicle will now be displayed in the vehicle section. On occasion, the VIN search will pull multiple like vehicles from which the correct one can be selected.
The second method for adding a vehicle is by using the license plate number and state. This queries vehicle registration databases for the correct vehicle, and even provides vehicle specific information such as the VIN. Once the vehicle information popup appears, select 'okay' to add the vehicle to the profile.
Finally, a vehicle can be added using the 'fast search' option. This method can be utilized by either a free-text search, or by a drop-down menu. For the free-text search, simply type the two digit year and make of the vehicle. The vehicle options will be displayed for selection. For the drop-down search, simply enter the vehicle information using the drop-down field selections.
To edit a vehicle, use the pencil icon in the upper right hand corner of the profile. From the edit screen there will be options to edit the vehicle information, VIN, or license plate. Photos can be added from this screen as well, a useful tool for commercial and fleet vehicles. Once edits are completed, simply close the screen with the 'x' in the upper right hand corner, as all changes will be auto-saved. To clear or remove a vehicle from the job, use the red 'x' icon in the upper right hand corner of the vehicle profile section. This will allow you to conduct a new search using one of the three methods described above.
For older or specialty vehicles that cannot be found in the NAGS database, use the 'manual entry' option, which allow you to free text the necessary vehicle information.
The Fleet and Non-Fleet tags allow you to quickly recognize whether a vehicle has been saved to a customer's profile or not. You can make changes to this status simply by clicking on the tag and selecting add or remove from Fleet.
