The first way to create a purchase order is from within a job. Make sure you are in a work order status, as this won’t work in a draft. Select the part or parts that you want to order, and you will see icons appear. Click the blue icon to create a purchase order. In the pop up, select the supplier, the date, the pickup date, the cost, and then create the purchase order. The purchase order is now attached to each item purchased.
You can open the purchase order by clicking it. You can view all the data, and which job the order is attached to. You can also add any additional documentation to the purchase order. You can edit, download, or print. And, under the actions button, you can also receive it once you pick it up.
You may also start the purchase order process from the warehouse tab. Simply click purchase orders on the left hand side, then new PO button in the upper right-hand corner and fill in the purchase order form as you did previously.
