On the job screen, in the job details panel, click the blue sales tax link. From the pop-up window, you’ll be able to manage all your sales tax profiles. You can create new sales tax profiles by clicking create new. Name the tax and enter the tax rate to be applied as either a percentage or flat dollar amount. Select whether the sales tax profile will be applied to materials, labor or both, here. If you’d like, you can mark the sales tax rate as default. This will be the sales rate automatically applied to jobs, unless manually changed or adjusted for a specific job. The mobile option can be used for mobile-only fees or charges and can also be set to default as well. It is possible to apply multiple sales rates to a single job. Any job within GlassBiller can be marked as tax exempt by clicking the box in the top right.
If you have different tax rates for different zip codes, you may enter all the zip codes that you would like this tax to apply to here, and GlassBiller will automatically apply that sales tax rate when an address using a saved zip code is entered in the customer profile. After the tax has been created, you can check or uncheck here to add or remove it from a job. And you can also completely disable the tax here. This check box will show your disabled taxes.
